What would happen if a poll was moved into GQ?

What happens if a mod tries to move a thread with a poll into a forum that does not allow them? Will the poll still work, or does the software disable it? Or does the sky fall and the oceans boil?

I'm pretty sure I've seen an occasional poll in GD, attached to a thread that originated in IMHO. They still worked. You just can't create a poll in one of those fora.

I, on the other hand, remember the mods saying that the polls would automatically close, and remember seeing a few that did close when moved.

Maybe this will then serve as a bump to get the mods to clarify.

If we miss one occasionally it ain't the end of the world nor is it an invitation to set up polling in GD. It just means we missed closing a poll as part of the housework on that thread. Nothing more should be inferred from it.
