Mitt's College Transcripts

I note that the discussion of Obama's college transcripts seems to be getting thrown down the quarry. Do we have access to Mitt's transcripts, taxes, or any other similar information? I'm just curious.

As Og is my witness, I had no idea that there was a Presidential elegibility requirement based on university grades. When was this legislation passed?

It doesn't, except to people who demand every document of every event of Obama's life, for no reason.

And to people who demand every document of every event of Romney's life.

Has anyone done that seriously, or is the OP an ironic response to the demands for Obama's college documentation (including financial aid forms) in the other thread?

There isn't. There's also no law requiring babysitters to answer a bunch of personal questions like "do you use meth?" However, if you want my approval to be my kid's babysitter (or my vote to be my president) you're going to answer whatever question I want, or hit the bricks.

To be honest, anyone demanding Obama's grades wouldn't vote for him if that transcript glowed with straight A's, perfect attendance and ad-hoc comments from every professor regarding Obama's superhuman brilliance. Anyone demanding Romney's grades is not going to vote for him either, and is probably just engaging in tit-for-tat.

Rick Perry's transcript got leaked to the Huffington Post, presumably by someone at Texas A&M. I don't think it made more than a ripple.

Wait, Tom! Are you saying that Rick Perry drinks ripple?
I am sure that is what you said.

When do you think he started?
Is that why he dropped out of the race?

What brand of ripple?

Two Gs. And, while I'm not the biggest Obama fan, I do think it's gotten a bit out of control. Is it uncool to respect someone because he's shown that he can do a decent job? I certainly wouldn't want to take over the reins. Not sure how I feel about a second term, either, but I know a lot of Average Joes I'd pick him over. He's proved he can avoid fucking it up too badly, and that's more than most of his critics can say.

So how 'bout we change this conversation to one about proved actions, about track records instead of school records, and THEN jump on each other like kindergartners in the sandbox?

Point taken. It's just hard sometimes to let go of the idea that he didn't get the anal exam that the media might have given others. In some ways he was asked for things no one else had been I suppose. In other ways his circumstnaces were unique....like the fact that his earliest and relatively limited political effots were vetted by a pretty sympathetic media in Chicago.
