Tried to fill it out, but no matter how many times I click on various circles nothing happens.

In the demographic questions I could click on the text beside the circle and it would respond, but that won't work for the questions without text beside the answer circles.

(I'm using IE9 if that matters.)

Since it turns out the OP is of no relation to Baby Boom Cutie, Deborah Walley (note her lack of an H), I lost interest.

No, really, I'm working on the survey.

(later) Nope, sorry, lost interest in it, too. You can toss out the response that ended with my anecdote about "Samson and Delilah."

Done! That was fun!

I listed six favorite films, although it could have been sixty. But boy, are they different!

A Man for All Seasons
Schindler's List
Gandhi
Jaws(Thrills, chills, and humor )
To Kill a Mockingbird(Best film adaptation of a book)
Star Wars(As seen in 1977, no NEW HOPE about it, or #4)

Jim Jim Jim , having been born in January 1970, you've managed not just to make me go back a generation but you've also aged me a year.

SanVito, Generation X and a mere 42.

Done. And it didn't take me that long. (Well, to be honest, I was watching the hockey game inbetween questions, and it took only 1-1/2 periods. So maybe it was long)

How about "rather."

I gave 5 faves: Kiss Me Not on the Eyes, Agora, Nell, Caramel, and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. I wanted to add a sixth fave, Mirch Masala, but didn't.

I'm in.

Feedback on the survey:

1. The damn thing takes forever to load.

2. The somewhat/very language issue could be avoided by going with a 5 point scale, with 1 being "not important at all" to 5 being "most important". A lot of surveys are set up that way.

3. I hope the OP will return to give us some sort of summary of his findings/conclusions/whatever when the survey is complete.

Hello again,
Sorry to hear about the browser/speed problems. We used one company for the site and another for the survey software, so will make enquiries with both.
Regarding Canada, it's proving to be a thorny issue. On the one hand, Canada gets the same films at the same time, the box office figures we use cover both countries, and there are significant demographic and cultural similarities. On the other hand, there are also important cultural differences. Given that we're already making some pretty sweeping generalisations in lumping people into generations, to also survey two countries at once seemed a step too far. Therefore, for the time being the survey is just for the US. Still, thanks for filling the survey out, Elbow, and if you left your email at the end and said we could contact you, we may well be in touch.
Oakminster: I'll definitely come back with results when we have them. The intention is also to put some general findings on the website, along with filmmaker interviews that we start doing next week.
Once again, thanks for everybody's time and enthusiasm, and for the Facebook 'like'.

Oh, and SanVito, by 43-60 and 46-64 I meant 1943-1960 and 1946-1964. I should have used apostrophes.
