I am extremely envious. I would sincerely like to have that quote from the article on my tombstone.

I take it Cheezies are equivalent to Cheetos in the US, no?

Sacrilege!

Ummm, yeah same idea, although Cheezies are superior (because that is what I grew up with ) I believe Cheezies are the original and yours are the cheap imitations (Again, there is probably debate there ... they both came to the market in the late 40s, but, hey, ours are made with real cheddar! how could they possibly be bad for you?)

Seriously though, Cheezies are much airier and puffier than a Cheetos. (or at least than the varieties of Cheetos I have eaten) Another example of Canadian Haute Cuisine!

First the Doritos inventor and now this ... what will become of us?

"Cheezie?"

"Poofed!"

Well, That changes things a bit. Cheetos come in 21 Varieties and Flavors [As listed at Fritolay.com]

This is what most people would say a cheeto is :

http://www.fritolay.com/our-snacks/c...hy-cheese.html

But they also come like this:

http://www.fritolay.com/our-snacks/c...fs-cheese.html

Which are decidedly more poofy and airier. I would think that Cheezies are probably closer to the puffs than the crunchy.

I disagree. The classic Cheeto is the puffy kind. If someone asked me to buy Cheetos I would default to the puffy kind unless told otherwise. But I prefer the crunchy ones.

I'd have to disagree.
The classic Cheeto is the crunchy kind. The classic Cheez Doodle, OTOH, is poofy (and superior).

They are both in the class with puffed corn and matzoh.

Kind of like Cheeze Balls, which to me, are the one Cheeze-product to rule them all.

What?

I didn't even know he had cancer!

Dammit, now I'm sad. Time to listen to nonstop Beastie Boys starting with the video for Body Movin'. Any fan of MST3K will know why that is the greatest music video of all times.

Did anyone else post about George Murdock's passing?

I wonder if I had him on my list for this year. I know I had him on it previously.

Diabolik. The very last episode of MST3K. I'll just hold those cards until you catch up.

According to Wikipedia, the video was released about a year before the episode was shown. Huh. Did not realize that.

Nobody had him.

Also, I'm sorry to say, you aren't in this year's game. Your list wasn't posted until January 5th.

If it's any consolation, none of your picks have died yet.

It would really be too bad if you'd picked some of the bandwagons like Etta James or Joe Paterno.
