Where do you get your online news? << Second Pass >>

After Where do you get your online news? (pre-poll query) -- which was started 05-05-2012, 08:44 AM -- there came Where do you get your online news? -- started the next day and with 120 Voters so far.

Both threads have produced additional sources that may be worth your vote. I've also included the bottom group from that first poll, in terms of number of Voters, to be sure they have a reasonable chance.

Poll on the way. Still Anonymous and Multiple Choice. Please limit your votes to those sites you do actually visit with any frequency.

No replies yet, but 4 voters. Perhaps the people who suggested these sources have yet to see this thread. Otherwise, they were afterthoughts or something.

New York Times website. Check it about once every two days. (And, check cnn.com maybe once every three weeks.)

Often I'll end up at some other site -- such as my town's daily paper's site -- if I Google some search words to find out about some specific recent event.

I used to read Google Fast Flip religiously, until they cancelled it. I wish they would bring it back.

CNN.com didn't rate a spot in the poll? No BBC.co.uk either? Seriously?

I read the following every day;

FARK.com
CNN.com
BBC.co.uk/news
Yahoo.com
Startribune.com
Twincities.com

You can vote for these sources in the thread linked in the OP. This thread is for the write-ins from that thread.

I will eventually combine this poll's results with those in the other thread to give a "complete" picture.

Thanks for the comments. They help keep the thread in view

Remember - No picture for Where do you get your online news? is "complete" without When do you get your news?

With the news, it's not simply a question of where; it's a question of where and when:

Since both polls on this subject are still open, this pair of summary sorts is just an "in progress" reference. Posted in both threads for comparison's sake.

You forgot CNN.com plus the BBC's 24-hour news network (and their website).

They've gotten heavy votes in the other thread. This thread is for the write-ins from that thread. See the OP for a link.

I will eventually combine this poll's results with those in the other thread to give a "complete" picture.

Thanks for the comments. They help keep the thread in view

The other poll closed on the 26th. This poll is still open. Once this poll closes I will try to combine the results of both polls as a summary.

Or am I missing a point here?

Either you or I are. Your verbage implies that you currently can vote for these sources in that thread, which you can't because it's closed.

Post #15 (today) refers to the poll in this thread. Earlier comments/posts referring to both polls were made before the other poll had closed.

I'm still a bit baffled that I appear to be the only one that uses Newser as their primary source of news. Yes it's an aggregator, but that gives it more breadth.
