I agree with all of this. I hope you'll stick around Lute. Heat can kill both humans and rabbits, so I had no problem with your initial request since it sounded like you didn't have access to any other funds. I do hope you figure out why it was inappropriate to ask us to share this cost with you. But I certainly don't think you need to leave the board over this. Unfortunately, this will probably not be a good place for you to ask for help if you ever do really need it though.

I sent because I wanted to. I had the most brutal winter of my life. I wont go into to many details but I ate pickles that had frozen solid in my living room for their life sustaining properties.

I now have the best job I have ever had and will make about 4 times as much as I have ever made in a single year with 5-6 full months off. And little to no bills.

I was looking for someone to help.

As someone who also has depression, I disagree. I go around constantly wondering when everyone will figure out how big of a loser I really am. It's a relief when it happens.

For one the Pitting started before the announcement that he had depression. I am not required to remember everyone's posting history. For another as many have pointed out, depression is not a gateway to begging. An apology should not contain the reason why it's not your fault. If you have a condition that might be worsened by criticism, step away from the Dope. Its not like my life is all rainbows and unicorns. If I post something stupid I would expect a good pitting. IIRC I have been pitted once. It did not go the way the OP had hoped.
