So I've been watching educational stuff on Youtube lately because... hell if I know.
One is
CGPGrey who explains a lot of things, mostly political (different voting types like First Past the Post, MMP), but a few fun historical things too (like the history of Santa). He's actually pretty damn good at explaining everything (granted he's a teacher by profession).
The next is
Crash Course. It's a basic high school AP level Biology and World History, but as an adult I feel like I'm learning more than I did when I actually was in high school (the fact that I'm doing this voluntarily and not for credit probably helps). I like the history one more than the biology one, but they're both rather good.
I also recently discovered Sci Show (which should be easily accessible from the "related videos" bar by the Crash Course videos), which is done by the Crash Course biology guy, and has a bunch of cool stuff that's not strictly "science" like an explanation of the Mayan Calendar cycles.
Sure, they're not the deepest levels of analysis (they simplify and skip a bit), they can be a bit goofy, and the get the occasional fact wrong (though they usually post an update correcting themselves), but I like watching them.
What does everyone else think of these channels? Are there any other interesting little educational channels for adults or older teens like this (meaning, they're not just videos of a professor talking at a camera, I like the infographics and little jokes and stuff)?
