Probably doesn't count, but what the hey.

Though they usually played characters with the same names, there was rarely any continuity or suggestion that any of the Three Stooges shorts or films were related other than starring the same 3 leads (obviously with the 3rd lead changing at a few points).

A lot of the shorts even had the same supporting castmembers over and over as different characters each time.

That disqualifies it from the thread. We're looking for unrelated movies that star the same actors.

A 14-month-old thread (when appended, with (only) 35 posts) is a zombie? Would you really want another new thread started so soon, only to collect a lot of the same responses?

Mod note

The last post is by someone who wanted to link to his or her blog. I deleted the link (and banned the person as a spammer) but left the post as an actual answer to the question.

Since lots of directors draw on the same ensemble for lots of movies, could all John Ford movies or all John Huston or Orson Welles movies be said to be "related"? I don't know for a fact that Fellini used the same people over and over again but my impression is that he did. Welles drew heavily from his Mercury Theater clique in his early films.
