splicing pond tubing

Because of the shifting of a HUGE rock, the waterfall in my little pond now gathers near the tube outflow and leaks out. I have 1 in corrugated pond tubing. I need to get it about 4 inches longer, and want to buy some new tubing and splice it, but I have been unable to find out how to do this. What do I need to splice this tubing?

Do you have a photo of the tubing, or a link so we can see exactly what it looks like and the material of which it's constructed?

I have the same tubing on my filter/waterfall. I would say that you need a tube joiner. I haven't seen one with the tubing in the shop, so it may be hard to find.

The alternative is to replace the entire run.

I'd go with Kiwi Fruit's advice and replace the whole run. That stuff is cheap, and it beats waking up to find the pool drained and the fish flopping around.

I currently have a bit of a Franken-pond in my yard. I found a pump in the garbage, but it's way too powerful for my 70 gallon pond, so I've had to split the output and step it down through connectors and tees to get the fountain working and so my fish aren't in a giant jacuzzi whirlpool. I found most of the fittings I needed at my local Rona in the plumbing section for 2-3 bucks each. I should have bought some hose clamps while I was there because the bits of tubing sometimes come apart, but otherwise, it seems to be working and was a small investment.

I know I could replace the whole run, but some is under large rocks. I hadn't thought about just looking at a hardware store, or for that matter, an auto parts place. I will try them out.
