I have sent links to this song to all of my Diablo friends.

I got the shirt joke as well and wants one. I love Terry Pratchit, but I also got it from the physics angle.

My favorite sweatshirt is black and says "Cultist" over my left boob.

Every time I see Squidward playing his clarinet underwater, I get a little angry that it doesn't just produce soundless bubbles.

One time I saw an underwear advertisement with a guy holding a saxophone backwards and it filled me with raeg. Like the kid in this ad for Colgate (33 seconds in).

Also whenever I see sheet music on tv or in a commercial, there's a not-insubstantial chance that some of the notes will be backward. That really grinds my gears!

Why would it produce bubbles? He's presumably not blowing air into it.

Most of the small talk I have with my friends sounds like dialog between #21 and #24.

I have a stuffed Opus, and two stuffed Cthulhus (one small, for the car; one larger, for the house).

I sing along with Lovecraftian Christmas carols.

I cried when Steve Jobs died, and went to Apple headquarters to see/take pictures of his memorial (I don't live far, so it's not *quite* so nerdy).

I had a crush on Speed Racer in grade school, and Mr. Spock in junior high.

I love Tales of the Beanworld. I collected the comics when I was in college and grad school, buying individual volumes in clear sleeves. I bought the graphic novels even though I already had most of them in individual issues. Then I kept those, very carefully, during move after move when I lost my other comics (I had several other graphic novels and issues I really liked, like The Crow, the various Neil Gaiman comics, and The Invisibles, and one about Constantine getting lung cancer - probably others I don't remember anymore). When my son was old enough to read them, I was unduly thrilled that he liked them and read them over and over. Then when new versions came out in hardcover I bought the whole set, even the ones I already had.

And (here is the confession part) I think the original graphic novel version is better than the new hardback version. =D Also this: http://larrymarder.blogspot.com/2010...ld-passed.html ... I saw the scene while watching the series and immediately paused and googled that =D

I was at a friend's party, and when I first walked in I shouted "Etta Koo-ram Nah Smech!"

One person pretended to fall down unconcious, so it was worth it.

I think of nerdy things at the worst times.

For example: my daughter, who is now fine, was born not breathing and was immediately taken away to be resuscitated on a stretcher next to my bed while I, after days of horrible labour and no food and with my glasses off was being stitched and checked and pumped and full of needles, just like she was. Her tiny grey chest was going up and down like a bellows as hordes of masked doctors surrounded her and her arms were splayed like a baby doll. I turned my head, reached my arm over to her as far as I could, trying to reach hers and...

Thought of a very similar scene in ET.

Touching.
