Draft order will be:

1 Baltimore Weirdos
2 Spiritus Mundane
3 HungryHungryHarus
4 Fightin Quakers
5 Omni's Omnipotents
6 Varlos' Zzzzzzz
7 Off Constantly
8 DrewBreesBirthmark
9 ViQueens
10 NY Fanboys
11 Hamlet
12 4th and 19
13 Crabby Hermits
14 RNATB

My final keeper-eligible roster:

M. Cassel (QB) - drafted in 12, keep in 10
J. Flacco (QB) - drafted in 4, keep in 2
J. Jones (WR) - drafted in 5, keep in 3
P. Garcon (WR) - drafted in 8, keep in 6
AJ Green (WR) - drafted in 7, keep in 5
A. Green (RB) - drafted in 14, keep in 12
R. Jennings (RB) - drafted in 9, keep in 7
D. Murray (RB) - drafted in 5, keep in 3
CJ Spiller (RB) - drafted in 6, keep in 4
Atlanta (DEF) - drafted in 14, keep in 12

Currently I'm looking at Julio Jones, DeMarco Murray and AJ Green, and in need of an extra 3rd round pick. I pick 7th, so I'd be happy to trade my 1st to anyone below me looking to trade up.

Mother of god, year 10? Should we start getting people lined up as replacements for when we start dying of natural causes?

Loving keeping Jimmy Graham in the 5th. Blount in the 10th isn't nearly as appealing as it was late last season, but he's still a no brainer. Not sure if I'll keep a third. If anyone wants Big Ben (can be kept in the third), I'll listen to any offers.

Also, RNATB, I'll be the first to jump on it: interested in switching spots in the 5th and 6th rounds (I'm keeping Graham there, so it's a win-win for the two of us)?

Darn, this is where I wished I had taken the time to look up usernames for each team name. Maybe we can get RickJay to alter either my or RNATB's OP when we sort it out. Baba, which team were you again? I'm Off Constantly, because everyone beats me.

I'm 9 Inch Neils, but I included RNATB because I'm thoughtful like that.

I remain Fourth and Nineteen. Still can't believe I lost the semifinal to RNATB by .03.

My possible keepers:
Fred Jackson 4th / 2nd
Jermarcus Finley 4th / 2nd (from ViQueens)
Eli Manning 5th / 3rd
Johnny Knox 7th / 5th
Cam Newton 9th / 7th
Darren Sproles 11th / 9th
Detroit DEF 15th / 13th

I drafted Donald Brown and had him on my final roster, but I did drop him at one point, so I can't keep him, which is a shame.

Obviously I'm keeping Cam and Sproles; that's probably it. I don't think the Detroit D is worth a 13th.

My eligible keepers and last year's corresponding picks:
Quote:
Vincent Jackson (TB - WR) Round 6, Pick 7
Santana Moss (Was - WR) Round 6, Pick 10
Reggie Bush (Mia - RB) Round 4, Pick 6
Marshawn Lynch (Sea - RB) Round 10, Pick 7
Wes Welker (NE - WR) Round 5, Pick 9
Owen Daniels (Hou - TE) Round 6, Pick 6
Reggie Wayne (Ind - WR) Round 3, Pick 1
Stephen Gostkowski (NE - K) Round 16, Pick 2
In a move that I'm sure will come as no surprise, I'm keeping Marshawn in the 8th, VJax in the 4th, and Wes Welker in the 3rd.

I'm interested, but I'd prefer to swap my 8th-rounder because I'll be using that for a keeper.

Howdy, all.

My good news: I got the liver/kidney transplant four months ago, so I'll be around a while longer (hopefully.) I'm doing Ok but I've been off work for so long that reeentering the workforce at 50 is a daunting task.

Having almost won it all last year, if it wasn't for Tony Romo's hand injury in our championship game, I'm ready to try it all again.

I'm not as crabby as I was before, so I'm considering an appropriate name change. I'm open to suggestions.

So what you're saying is that you've had nothing to do but prep for HHM for the last 4 months? We're in trouble.

I've got an extremely busy late summer lining up (100 mile hiking trip, closing on and moving into our first house, painting and building patio in said house, starting an MBA program), so I'd better get keepers in before I forget to. As of now I'll go with:

DeMarco Murray in the 3rd,
Stevan Ridley in the 6th,
Alex Green in the 12th

If someone wants to trade up in the 3rd round (for the 4th pick), I'm all ears.

I'm trying to trade back in the 4th and 8th rounds (first pick in each), in case anybody missed it. Don't need to trade up in the 3rd, though, since I'm using that for a keeper.

First trade of the (off-)season! I get picks 4-8, 8-8 and 11-7 from Munch. He gets picks, 4-1, 8-1 and 16-1 from me.

I am naturally quite happy to trade back further in rounds 4 and 8, if anyone wants to move up in those rounds.

Cross-posted this to the league page so Dave will see it (not least since he has the last pick in those rounds).

ViQueens here; I'm in for another year of pain and misery that is fantasy football. I ended up 7-7; faded down the stretch losing the last two regular season games to miss out on a playoff spot. I basically hate my entire roster, so I might not have any keepers. Gimme a few weeks to think about it.

Don't need to move up that much - unless you're prepared to move to the back of the round in exchange for the rights to V-Jax (he'd cost you a 4th) or Wes Welker (3rd)?

Probably not. I liek both players, but not at those draft positions. Welker had career numbers last year for yds & TDs. I don;t think he busts, but expect a regression to the mean for him. Only 3 WR went in 1st 2 rounds last year, so I expect I can grab a WR with higher upside at 3.2. V-Jax is a stud, but though I am a TB homer, catching balls from Freeman in a run first offense is a little different from catching balls from Rivers in SD.

I would make teh swap for the rights to the beast in 8, though.

Still looking to move back in rounds 4 and 8. Need to move up in odd-numbered rounds other than 3.

I thought about that for a second but Beast Mode is going 29th overall according to FF Toolbox, and I get to keep him for the 108th pick. So I'd effectively be giving up 69 spots there in exchange for 12 spots in the first round.

True. Now there is a big difference between 1.2 and 1.14, but I agree that a straight trade would be a bit unbalanced in my favor. If you want to consider "additional considerations" let take it to email.

Omni's Omnipotents

Just getting my potential keepers posted for the record. The rounds listed are those that I drafted them in.

5th Brandon Lloyd
6th Roy Helu
9th Sam Bradford
10th Jared Cook
11th Plaxico Burress
14th Jake Locker
15th Dallas
16th Robbie Gould

I'm pretty sure I'm keeping Locker in the 12th. Maybe Helu in the 4th or Lloyd in 3rd if things look really strong in the preseason for them. Trades obviously will be entertained.

If anyone wants to talk about juggling their 12th round picks, particularly Dave or Spiritus let me know, though since I'm drafting 5th to last in that round it's not a big deal.

My potential keepers, I think:

Brandon Marshall - 1st Round --> Ummmm, no.
Ryan Grant - 2nd Round --> Ummmm, hell no.
Mike Tolbert - 3rd Round -- > Not a chance.
Vincent Jackson - 4th Round --> OOPS, traded him to RNATB who is keeping him.
Green Bay Defense - 5th round --> That's not going to happen.
Percy Harvin - 5th Round --> At least I got something back from RNATB. Yes.
Darren McFadden - 6th Round --> Yes please!
Ryan Fitzpatrick - 7th Round --> I can get him later if I want him, which I don't.
Marshawn Lynch - 8th Round --> See Vincent Jackson

and

A bunch of garbage.

I'm on the fence with Percy, but he has a 4.12 ADP, and talent goes quick in this league with keepers, so I'll use my fifth on him. McFadden is still a deal in the 6th, but dammit I want him to be healthy. And if he can't, I want his douchebag coaches to say so instead of lying through their teeth.

Barring injury or holdouts, I'll be keeping:

Percy Harvin with pick 5.11
Darren McFadden with pick 6.11

And my god it's depressing to see the list of winners and, after 9 fucking years, not being on that list. Congrats RNATB, I'm glad I contributed to your win last year. Maybe I'll count that as a win for me.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but I kept Harvin each of the last two seasons, so I don't think you can keep him. However, I hereby appoint you assistant GM of Nine Inch Neils.

Considering all the talent I more or less handed you in the Dynasty League, I probably shouldn't feel that bad.

So what's the easiest way to figure out what round I could keep potential keepers in? At the moment it's a serious PITA trying to piece stuff together.

I'm leaning towards keeping Stafford (5rd last year, keep in 3rd), Toby Gerhart (keep in 13th) and possibly Jabar Gaffney if I can figure out where he was drafted last year....

Up and to the right of the standings on the league page is the word "Season:" and a drop down menu for the league's history. Go to 2011, and check the draft. Gaffney wasn't drafted, so he's not eligible to be kept.

I have to bow out of the league, sorry.

I'd like to switch the commish to anybody else within the next 12 hours, but can only give it to someone with viewable email. Whoever sets their email viewable will get commish from me, then they can give it to whomever you guys want to be the new commish. I just need this done quickly, so anyone works for my needs.

Omni, the "invite friends" page shows you as having 1 invite sent. I now have to dig up your sdmb email and manually enter it to send you another one.

It's super annoying that everyone hides their email.

Yeah, that's what I meant by it being a PITA...wish they had 'drafted in X round last season' column on the 'choose your keepers' screen.

Isn't it kinda retarded to not be able to keep players that weren't drafted? Surely they should be keepable in the 15th or 14th round, like every other keeper draft I've ever been in?

I already have an PM request by someone who wants Ellis' spot. I don't really want to go back through three years of league SDMB threads, so I propose this: anyone who wants in, post to the thread. Once Jules gets the commissionership from Ellis, we'll have a vote on who the new member will be.

Everyone cool with that?

"Retarded"?

The reasoning is that this is a keeper league where we try not to rely on pure dumb luck or being the first to have access to the internet on Sundays - our keepers need to be planned for at the draft, just like NFL teams.

I'd be interested to join the league.

Three people revealed their email, thx much I appreciate it. I set the transition commish to VarlosZ, who I'm guessing doesn't want it for this league too (he commishes the dynasty league) so you guys should have the power to figure out who he passes the baton to.

Sorry for backing out at the last minute, and have a great season!
