What is the Female:Male Ratio of the Mods Here?
Just curious.

This MB is not bound by patriarchal gender assignment roles.

It may appear uneven, but bear in mind that women are (in general) not as moddy as men.

I think the real question being asked is whether being a mod is a good way to pick up chicks.

I quite sincerely thought twickster had a penis until the Christmas gift exchange.

Straight lines. So many straight lines. . . .

Are you hoping for gay lines?

Must have been quite a Christmas. Perhaps if we remind her of her Latin grammar and then ask her nicely she'll change to twickstrix (or twixtwix: a female trickster with a speech impediment, bearing candy).

I will give that proposal the consideration it deserves.

The OP needs to break it down further as we don't how many are trapped in a body of the wrong gender. Could alter the whole ratio...
For instance, "G-Factor" is supposedly male. But he has a "g-factor"? Hmm... |

It's about four to one. But mind you, I'm speaking strictly for myself.

Doesn't sound right.
Tuba, Lynn, Elynn, Gwyn, Una and Twix - 6 females. Marley, Sam, Tom, Idle, Gfactor, and CK Dexter = 6 males So found 50% more than 4 in both sexes! No sensey-making! |

Before someone comes in to get all cross about it, I'll preempt by saying that the totals are incorrect. I do not work for the message board, I work directly for and with Cecil. I'm a scientist, not an enforcer.

This isn't a list of the mods and admins! See link above.

He's no longer actively an administrator, but he retains admin powers, as do I. Generally I only use my powers to stop a spammer in mid-spam, in the middle of the night.

I think the SDMB mods are like those dead/undead quantum cats in boxes that only the cool kids can understand.
Until you actually look in the box, it may not really be there. Then depending on if they are, or it isn't, then a random moderator in a parallel universe finds their penis missing. And their cat dies. Or something. |

Spoil my wordplay with facts, will you, you orix!1 Do you think you're some kind of auctrix2, you bōster?3 I can't quite call you a leiƷster4, but why should I suffer the tongue of a conciontrix?5 Against you I shall send legions of balesters6 and barresters7, all male, until you need weilsters.8 Oh, there will be sleiƷster9, sister!
This post brought to you with the help of the searchable Middle English Dictionary (PS: If you're not a woman, would you mind pretending for the sake of this post?) 1 a kind of bird similar to a guinea hen 2 a woman whose opinion or statement is accepted as authoritative 3 braggart, boaster, arrogant person 4 a liar (female) 5 a woman who harangues the people 6 crossbowmen 7 barristers, lawyers 8 professional female mourner, 'wailster' 9 slaughter |

However one self-identifies. If someone is, say, a woman with an unfortunate appendage then she's a woman. Same with those offended by having opposite sex chromosomes. OK? :-)
