I saw this for the first time today and it's somewhere between really brilliant and absolutely terrifying. If he weren't an Emmy winning hit in Big Bang Theory he'd be fantastic for a horror movie.

And yet kinda sorta strangely hot in the Speedo- or is it just me?

None of your answers really fit what I thought. The closest is that he looks good in drag, but only in the non-closeups, and that doesn't count. I guess the carbs thing might work, because I do think he looks awfully skinny for a guy, but it's mostly that he need to work out more. It's part of the reason he looked okay from a distance as in drag--he's at that same point that a lot of women are at--somewhat muscular, but a layer of fat to soften it. It looks great on women, but odd on men.

If he is attractive to women and gay guys, then that means I know less about what is attractive in my own sex than I thought. I would think he would at most be in the "so funny he's hot" group.

ETA: Oh, and he's a good actor. He seemed to pull off everything described in the song. Ironically, his worst was playing the nerds, which he's proven he can do quite well on The Big Bang Theory.

I think he's nerd hot... skinny, pale, foxy. Then again, my husband is tall, thin and Irish... I guess I like the tall, thin and pale. But at least my husband has a little meat on his bones. It wouldn't be a bad idea for him to eat a little more...

Well, I've had a bit of a crush on him for a while so I enjoyed him in the speedos for sure. He was really showing quite a bit of skin throughout the spot.

He's not ugly but none of the guy from "The Big Bang Theory" are ugly. They are all decent looking men, when out of their "nerd" persona

As for the speedo it's funny. Why? Ultra skinny guys in speedos = Funny. This is why he is on "the Big Bang Theory" Sheldon is in speedos while Leonard is in boxers. They also used the effect on "That 70s Show" having ultra skinny Eric in briefs all the time. It's funny to have a tall thin guy in skimpy underwear.

It's always easier to make a thin person look better. This is why the "ideal" measurments for male runway models are 5'10" 40chest 30 waist. You can easily pad up but you can't take off.

You can put Parson's in various garments and pad him up or do whatever 'cause he's super thin.

He's not ugly by any means, but if he was an average Joe walking down the street, you wouldn't look twice.

The Gang. I think they've done a really nice job of casting a bunch of geeks - they're all attractive enough without being model-level gorgeous (except Kaley, and she's supposed to be a bombshell).

Yes...but unlike you (at least I think from the crush comment) I was mentally redressing him. It could be worse, it could have been full frontal nudity.

It was very funny and catchy, but they shouldn't have waited till the end to have the logo and web site. They should have had it printed on some of the items, like a T-shirt he was wearing or the rug he was standing on. This is just from an effectiveness standpoint. It kind of sounded like the lyric was "to keep the whole world fancy-free" and after about two minutes I was wondering what I was supposed to do. By the end some people who might not know or care who Jim Parsons is might have lost interest.
