Thread Subscriptions And Emails
I am not having luck accomplishing this on my own, so I'm asking for help. How do I apply my user settings so that I am never subscribed to any thread. I can un-subscribe after the fact, but I can not prevent a subscription in the first place. A clogged, messy e-mail in-box is my driving concern in this matter. Thanks in advance.

Do you really want to have no subscriptions to any threads or just no e-mails pertaining to your subscriptions? You can stop the e-mails while still keeping the subscriptions. I have mine set up that way. Look in your options.

Thanks, I've looked around in my settings and changed a few things, but I'm still getting the email notification. Argle-Bargle! I'll try again.

User CP
Edit Options scroll down to Messaging and Notification, then look below Default Thread Subscription Mode, there's a box below to the right You can set to : Do not subscribe No email notification Instant email notification Daily email notification Weekly email notification I use No email notification. Subscribed list is retained in Control Panel, but don't get any annoying emails. Last edited by Irishman; 12-25-2012 at 07:20 PM. |
