Friday Afternoon Word Play Game

I saw some people doing this at a bar:

Every letter in the alphabet is given a number from 1-26 (a=1, b=2, c=3, etc.). Every word is given a numerical rating equivelant to the multiplication of all of the letters in that word (cat=60...3 x 1 x 20). Their goal was to find a word closest to 5,000,000. I think violin was about 4.5 mil or something.

Let's try to make it as close to 10,000,000. I'll start with an easy one to beat: Bettered 7,200,000.
