The Literalty of Insults

Insults. We fling them out with vigor when we need to. Sometimes, they're creative. Sometimes, they're spit out without much thought behind them, and they are propelled only by the need to be ejected from our lips or fingertips as quickly as possible.

But what are we saying? What are we literally calling people?

Some obvious ones to start with:

Pussy.
Asshole.
Big baby.

But what about some others? Where did we begin thinking these were insults? For example:

Dillweed.
Dillhole.
Nutsack.
Harebrain.
Toolbag.

So go ahead. I've been called worse than a fuzzy kitten, a tasty herb, or a delicious bag of pistachios. Do your worst. And provide pictures.
