After 92 polls: The fact that 6,927 votes have been cast by 288 different board members for 2,479 songs still amazes me. Once again, thanks to everyone. I think it's a pretty good resource for people who may wish to check out an artist they don’t know much about & get a basic idea which tracks are most preferred by the Doper community. Because of the dynamic nature of the music industry & the date the poll was run, some tracks on new releases from artists still recording are not included. As has always been our custom, if there’s a band you’d like to see a 6@6 poll for; request it -- we’ll try & get it into the upcoming schedule. The majority of bands we’ve run polls on (and in the upcoming schedule) have been requested by other Café Society denizens. Eighth: Tentative Schedule – Something For Everyone? 1st: Have a knowledge & appreciation for the artist(s) in the poll title. 2nd: Post your 6 favorite tracks from them. Cover versions & offshoots are acceptable. Segue tracks (written to be adjoined to a song from the same album) count as one song (i.e. The Abbey Road Medley & many Zappa tracks). Try to be as accurate as possible when naming your favorite tracks. Most importantly: Due to the fact the 6@6 is confined to one weekly thread, If you’re going to vote for more than one artist please make a separate post for each artist.
