How many of these famous women can you name: Gotta be quick!
I got this link in an email and I was absolutely mesmerized...it's a culmination of 500 years of women's portraits. Very cool. I can name a few.
Before I go off and name who I can..I'd like others to have a crack at it. Isn't it really cool? Maybe I'm just an Art Dork...but I this is really neat! |

It could be this.
Absolutely fascinating. I don't know which to be more impressed by, the patience it took to do the this, or the knowledge of art required to match to the painting styles and periods. Last edited by descamisado; 06-13-2007 at 08:04 PM. |

Mesmerizing. I could identify the Virgin Mary and Marie Antoinette, and that's all.
Thanks for sharing this. It's gorgeous. Now hurry up with the list!

Many of them are simply enigmatic representations of an artist's conception of what a woman is. Basically, unnamed faces on canvas. I'll go through it again tomorrow...I can watch it over and over!

Ok, fine...I'll go to be later...if I pause it a few times I get:
Hans Memling Alessandro di Cristofano di Lorenzo del Bronzino Allori or Mannerist painter. |

No Frida Kahlo? I'm a little surprised there! Or did I miss her?

It's beautiful, and it's also like a little tour of art history. Very cool.

I only watched about the first 20 or so, got the Mona Lisa and I think Aphrodite. I'll have to take some time and watch the whole thing soon.

That was very cool. I could name a number of them, particularly in the first ten or so, and definitely recognized some of the others. A very nifty concept.
Reminded me a bit of art history in college. |

I found it interesting to focus on the eyes. As the pictures morphed the eyes seemed to look around and the eyelids open and close while the head moved and changed around them.
