The Osbournes & Child Prostitution

Ozzy Osbourne just made a big stink blaming his son's alcohol and drug problems on marijuana and satying that we need to keep marijuana illegal.

The man was on TV allowing his son to hang out in bars all night with porn stars.

The man was on TV leaving it to the hired help wake his son up and try to get him to school. We saw on TV that this did not work and his son did not attend school.

Everyone who watched the show saw plainly that marijuana was the one and only behavior of his son that he objected to. Ozzy got all mad about Jack's pot smoking. Marijuana was the one limit he set on this kid -- the one and only limit.

But the skipping school, hanging out in bars and sleeping with porn stars didn't bother Ozzy? No, when he found out that his son was using his TV fame to get sex from porn stars, he gave him the high five -- on TV.

Now Ozzy wants adult marijuana users to go to jail so that his son can be protected from drugs?

Maybe we should put Ozzy and Sharon in jail for prostituting their children on TV.

It's ghastly to be entertained by a show that uses and thrives from the image of uncontrollable children and parents who refuse to set boundaries on their behavior.

It's even more ghastly to see a parent blame a plant for behavior that is really the result of his own neglectful style of parenting.

You seem quite familiar with the details of the Osborne's lives. Is this from watching the show? What makes this a Great Debate? Is anyone in favor of child prostitution, or poor parenting?

If you don't find it entertaining, don't watch it? Simple enough solution. How could anyone expect anything less than this out of Ozzy. Look back at his own life and how he personally behaved. Certainly you don't think he's going to apply a different set of standards on his kids than he did for himself?

I only watched the show once to see what all the hoopla was about.

If you don't find it entertaining, don't watch it?
------I'm not going to.

How could anyone expect anything less than this out of Ozzy. Look back at his own life and how he personally behaved.
-----I knew nothing about him before seeing the show. I don't know what band he played with or anything like that. Oh I did hear he used to bite heads off live birds or bats. Is that true?

Certainly you don't think he's going to apply a different set of standards on his kids than he did for himself?
----Even if he was a crazy individual for the public you would think he would be a little more tame with his kids.

I never watched the shaow. But people wouldn't watch it if it weren't outrageous.

How boring it would be (and no ratings at all) to watch a good parents adequately discipline their teens.

You are right autz what was I thinking?

I was just interested in why all the guys in the office talk about it all the time. Every now and then I will watch a show I don't normally watch just so I can stay on top of the office discussions.

I do tend to like the more wholesome parenting shows like Seventh Heaven, Smallville, Bewitched, Everwood, etc...

The Jack out of Rehab special that I saw the other day had Jack banging on about this "legal heroin" that he got hooked on.

He came across as a little victim wannabe spoilt snot. No surprise there.

you take one cup of olive oil, add some garlic and rosemary for the marinade, pour over the child prostitute and let sit refrigerated for 24 hours.

prepare the barbecue grill with briquettes as normal, add water soaked hardwood chunks (I like maple). Place child prostitute on highest rack setting, cover.

Smoke over low heat until the child prostitute reaches an internal temperature of 250 degrees. Allow for about 1 hour per 10 pounds. Top with KC masterpiece barbecue sauce.'

p.s. it helps if you get stoned while you're cooking.

sorry god,
sorry mom.

I find 250 internal dries the meat out a little too much. You might try taking it off the smoke at around 150-160 degrees, and letting it rest for a half hour or so.

Remember to cover it loosely with aluminum foil while letting it rest!

Whoosh! Now, where exactly did the Osbournes commit "child prostitution"? Ok, letting their son sleep around migh be immoral to some, but how is that "child prostitution"?

I would think you'd be more sympathetic towards someone having problems with a difficult teenager, rather than labeling them a "neglectful" parent.

I think i can maybe explain a bit of his thinking about drugs, Ozzy
was a huge drug user in his younger life, im sure he knows that is has affected him. You only have to see how he walks like an old man and slurs speech to see the negative affects its had on his life, maybe , just maybe he dosnt want his kids ending up the same way, no schooling can be overcome in later life by self learning, i did it myself, left school no qualifications and ended up with a reasonable amount of technical qualifications in later life, and as for banging porn stars, well what teenage lad wouldnt love to be in his shoes for that. i think Ozzies just trying to do what he can to stop his son using dope and maybe getting into something worse

When did Ozzy let Jack sleep with prostitutes?

This would indicate he felt there was a problem, and he couldn't solve it by himself.

The more wholesome parenting shows? "Smallville, Bewitched" Those shows deal with space people and witchcraft! Seriously, I have some fundy relatives who won't let their kids watch any of the show you mention. "Seventh Heaven" cheapens religion, apparently.

I don't see how Seventh Heaven cheapens religion. I have noticed a great decline in references to God though.

space people and witchcraft!
-----Ha ha now that you put it that way!

I really can't think of any other show that is wholesome.
I mean you have your classic 'I love Lucy" which I adore but I don't get to see on a regular basis.

I tend to watch 'Seventh Heaven', although it usually does not tend to deal with problems in a very realistic manner, when it deals with serious problems at all.

Far too neatly wraps things up in under an hour, and the problems are along the lines of something like the daughter's finace, an adult with a full time job, having a cigarette and the parents treating it as if he were smoking crack.

I haven't watched it since the first few episodes, so I am not that familiar with the goings-ons mentioned. I assume that by the hired help, you mean a maid, or the house staff. What is wrong with them waking Jack for him to go to school? If neither of the parents is available at the time, why not?

I haven't watched the show recently, and didn't know about Jack having sex with porn stars. I did know of his drug problems, however. Anyway Isabelle, you have to understand this family. The father is a notorious drug addict and lived the Rock 'n' Roll lifestyle to the umpteenth degree. He's half brain dead and is probably the worst influence a kid could ever have. He's a piece-of-shit father and his kids are little twits. Besides Jack's fucked up self, Kelly is a snotty brat who expects the garbage she calls music to be triple platinum. She has yet to realize the only reason she has a record deal is because of her father.

I have no idea why Ozzy would dislike pot and not alcohol, the drug which has probably destroyed himself more than any other. It is still his drug of choice, it seems. Either way, he is a horrible parent.
