"Shatner's World" - Has anybody seen it?

Bill's show is coming to San Antonio this upcoming January, and I'm thinking this would be a great present for my wife (who is constantly amused by the guy.)

Anybody see it? What did you think - was it worth the ticket price?

Thanks in advance...

I saw the show in San Francisco earlier this year. I got a seat up close, so the ticket was a bit pricey...but I enjoyed the show immensely. I think it would be a terrific present for any Shatner fan.

Would it be appropriate for an 11 year old?

We've all seen Shatner's world. It IS Shatner's world ... we just live in it.

I'd like to see it. Anyone with enough pull to bring back the Gorn 40-plus years later is worth watching.

The show was last night and it was as good as advertised. It was mostly fine for the 11yo (I called the production company for more info), except for one line when he said his horse "went in to get laid and got a hand job." That went completely over her head (I hope!)

He focused a lot on death: his horses death, his father's death, Kirk's death, his (Shatner's) upcoming death. He also kept calling the city "San Antone", which nobody says here.

Don't correct him. That sickens me.

I saw it in Dallas several months ago. While I like Star Trek I don't think I'm enough of a Shatner fan to have enjoyed the show. For the most part I found him pretentious and full of himself. I was especially bored by a story he told about driving across the country - the story was every bit as long and dull with made up drama as the real experience.

I have "San Antone" from a familiar pop/rock song circling in my head. What song would this be?

I'm stuck in Folsom Prison,
And time keeps draggin' on,
But that train keeps a-rollin',
On down to San Antone.

"I should be riding on that train to San Antone..."

The people of the town are strange

Well, you're talkin' 'bout China Grove, wo, oh, oh,
Oh, China Grove.

The full title is "Shatner's World: Your Just Living In It."

Why wouldn't you expect it to be "full of himself" with a title like that?

Dammit. My wife came in to chat, and I didn't get to fix the typo in my previous post.
