My awesomeness factor and public service to all of the gaming community entitles me to like a 4 hour time stamp shift anyway. Sorry.

This is one of my 7500 games I'll actually play, I've been waiting for this one for a sale.

Whelp, I was going to come in here and beg for that free copy of Xcom... which was available when I opened the thread two hours ago...

But so that I have something to contribute: GMG is selling Borderlands 2 for $16 after a coupon code (GMG20-NT7TS-SY2RT). Though their site hasn't been working very well, I managed to buy a couple copies to play with my wife. Time to upgrade her graphics card!

Also, Kerbal Space Program just came to Steam! Did you wish that you could fly your Lego rocket ships with realistic orbital mechanics? This is the game for you! Right now it's in an early alpha state, but there's a lot of great sandbox gameplay if you like the idea of building rockets, exploding most of them, and eventually figuring out how to land on the Mun and beyond.

If I get around to it, I'll start a thread for the game. Anyone else playing? I bought it around .17, and I'm waiting for a few of my favorite mods to update to .19 so that I can de-orbit my old space stations to their fiery doom.

I tried it a while back but found the interface a bit clunky. I believe they've improved it a lot though, so I'll probably pick it up at some point.

I pre-purchased Don't Starve, which comes with a free copy to give to a friend! I'll give it to any Doper who doesn't have a March 2013 join date, but please look at the game on Steam first to make sure it's something you think you'll enjoy.

If anyone happens to see a Company of Heroes 2 preorder deal, please mention it. Discount, extra games bundled, whatever. I'm probably going to grab it and I might as well get one of those good preorder deals we've been seeing lately.

Also GMG has Dirt 3 for $8.50, which is the cheapest I've seen it, and Dirt 2 for $3.75. Both are great games, Dirt 2 is a little better.

They're giving away beta keys for COH2 on curse gaming. You need a free account. If you want one, do it now, because these things run out quickly. http://www.curse.com/betas/company-of-heroes-2

Gamers Gate is out of serial keys for Skyrim. If you order now, you can expect your key in a few days.

Also, remember that there will likely be a foreign transaction fee if you buy from GG using your credit card. Not a big deal, but something to think about.

I'll take one, I don't own it yet, thanks. Do they stack with other deals, or do you have to use them alone?

I believe it says that you can't use them with other sales unless otherwise specified. This'll get it down to $7.50. CapnPitt, I've sent you a PM here on the Dope.

Anyone know what's the best combination of cheapest/soonest I can expect to buy Arkham City? Cheapest being more important than soonest.

Thanks, that's useful, but it only seems to be comparing current prices. I was hoping for a prediction (in terms of upcoming sales) on when it would be cheaper than it is now. For e.g. - the first week of June is X sale where Arkham City will probably drop to Y$ which is the cheapest it's likely to get.
Also, I didn't know Steam had region specific keys!

Today Arkham City Game of the Year is bundled with Arkham Asylum Game of the Year for $11.49 digital download on Amazon.

bldysabba, you're perfectly welcome to run a prediction analysis on historical price data for a given Amazon product like Arkham City from camelcamelcamel.com.

Hmm. Just historical data doesn't help me. I'd dug up historical data on Steam before I posted here, and knew the game had dropped to 7.5 USD(or was it 5?) in the christmas sale. That tells me nothing about where it's likely to go in any sales that are coming up. I don't even know which sales are coming up. I figured that people who follow game sales regularly would have a good feel for it though, so I asked.

ETA: Thanks for replying!

Picked up Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 for 12.50 USD from Steam. Borderlands I and II also on sale.

I imagine this might be old news, but http://www.steamgamesales.com/ is a good site for watching sales and checking price histories. I like that I can set it to my region.

Steam runs a summer sale in June or July, probably July; it's your best bet for the lowest Steam price you're going to find. The price then will probably go about as low or slightly lower than the lowest sale price so far (on Steam).

I got the bundle for $9.99. I took the third one as my free game from EA and had been waiting for the first two to go on sale.

The Amazon Crusader Kings Pack includes the original Crusader Kings as well as Crusader Kings II and ALL available DLC - Sword of Islam, Legacy of Rome, Sunset Invasion, The Republic, the Ruler Designer and the various song and portrait packs - all for $15. Ridiculously good value. The only downside is that you might get tired pasting each of the keys into Steam.

There are similar deals for other Paradox games like Victoria II and Hearts of Iron 3.

Australian prices tend to be higher. US $12.50 is the best I've seen.

Greenmangaming is having a sale on telltale games and some others, and you can stack with 20% discount code GMG20-LLASD-D8WBQ. Walking Dead becomes $8, back to the future $5. Monkey island series $6. Also, Chivalry Medieval Warfare for around $7. Borderlands 2 for around $10.
