Can we mention how attractive this foliage is, without mentioning names of course. If so, I'd like to put in a good word for the foliage currently to be found adorning photo #26. I think it is exceptionally lush and vibrant, and offers an aesthetically pleasing contrast to the umbrellas also in the photo. If there's any better foliage in the gallery right now then I'd like to see it.
I'm sorry, but photo 22 has photo 26's foliage beat hollow.

I'm not talking about foliage quantity - it's quality that's important.

Note how in #22, the greenery obtrudes into the subject of the photo. Also, it's just all over the place - there's simply no form or structure to it. In #26, viewers can't fail to be impressed by the subtle way in which the cheese plant in the foreground complements the subject, softening the features and showing it in such a favourable light.

I'm going to put your comment down to 'artistic differences', but further adverse comments concerning the foliage in #26 will be severely frowned upon.

I'm working on my new doper crush list now. Thanks for having all the shots in one spot. (Interfacex2 has just been put on the list. My girlcrush is now MeanOldLady, who reminds me of someone I know)

ETA - Rex Goliath, on the list now.

hey hey hey! Get your new photos here!

Antinor01 - if you don't like the photo I have of you there, taken at one of our So. Cal. dopefests, send me a better one!

---------------------

With all this talk about beards, what surprised me is that we had no photos of anyone smoking. Well, finally that has been changed! We have a pipe! And dogs, carriages, people in costume, musicians, artwork, and all kinds of other neat stuff that you can see here!

Added new photos to the gallery: An Arky, Another Primate, Avarie537, beowulff, BMalion, brujaja, DiggitCamara, divemaster, Enderw24, EvilTOJ, Green Rosetta, Hoopy Frood, KneadToKnow, melodyharmonius, MsWhatsit, Panurge, phouka, picker, romansperson, Ruby, Sampiro, tdn, THespos
Changes: Argent Towers—retouched main photo, Sunspace—added another photo

We have barely scratched the surface of the list of SDMB posters though, and some of you have already offered to look for photos, but I'm still waiting on you!
Everyone, please send in at least one picture.

Arnold, I just want to thank you for all your hard work on this. This is an amazing undertaking and we appreciate your efforts.

(I realize Chez offered to do some cropping - but I sent him my NSFW pics, and I see he didn't crop those and send them to you. LOL).

Gimme a break!

I'm having major problems cropping your photos without leaving many of your undoubted photogenic qualities on the cutting room floor.

I sent you a couple of pics, Arnold. They should be hitting your mailbox anytime.

I think the one of me in the dress is better, but you choose.

Ok, mine was added, thanks. Photo is of me and my wife at my grandmother's wedding. Anyone interested can click on the photo and see a brief (true) story of how my grandmother ended up marrying her high school sweetheart at age 83!

The first one I sent you, actually, was the one that was retouched (heavily de-saturated.) The one now is how the picture originally appeared. I decided I liked the original better.

Eutychus, perhaps you are unaware of the unwritten rule - if you post in this thread, you are required to send in a photo for the gallery.

Thank you to all of you who have sent in new submissions, there will be a gallery update probably by tomorrow.

And apologies to the poster whose image got lost in the shuffle and wasn't published in the last batch - this error will be corrected.

I've meant to ask this before, but where does that picture of Cecil come from? I can't find the original source.

I may give y'all a pic someday, but I'm not comfortable enough with it yet. I'm paranoid it will come back to bite me somehow.

Everglades! National Parks! Bears! Fish! Weddings! Hawaii! Fake wine! Moderators! A MRAP! Malyasia! A triathlon! And more!
This gallery update has it all.
Notice especially the beautiful wedding photo for a poster that was supposed to be in the last update but I made a mistake.

Added new photos to the gallery: ataraxy22, Cubsfan, Dottygumdrop, eleanorigby, Elysium, enipla, FriarTed, Gfactor, gigi, Half Man Half Wit, Lemur866, Monstera deliciosa, monstro, ShermanAter, Taber, Taters

changes: Rick—new main photo, Silver Tyger Girl—new main photo

Still expecting more photos!

Gfactor, have we met somewhere? Your picture is exactly the image I had of you in my head.

(That happened to me with twickster, too, then I remembered we had exchanged hey-I-know-your-username-type messages once off-board.)

Thanks for putting this together Arnold! It's really fun to see how close my mental pictures of everyone are (or not). I also appreciate the trouble you've taken making sure that the pictures look just right, that there's a link to people's profile, etc. I keep thinking I'll run into someone I know offboard. Hasn't happened yet, though.
