I'll also point out that I knew a Black girl once that said "Black? Do I look black to you? No, I am a lovely shade of mocha." So, why is Black acceptable? Why not Negro?

Because it's not necessarily a slur. There's an actual Paki in the thread arguing this very point.

I think it's time to let this thread die. If people have new questions on how we handle these kinds of situation, feel free to start a new thread, but I don't see the point in reviving this one to rehash things that were already discussed at considerable length.
