Polling now enabled in Elections [edited title]
I wanted to start a poll on which SCOTUS justices might retire if President Obama were to be re-elected. When I got finished, I was surprised to find that polls weren't allowed there. Is this by design or an oversight? Which forum would be appropriate for such a poll?

By design.
That sounds like a fine IMHO topic ... where polling is allowed. |

Thanks. I'll put it there. I just thought that it might be a little too politicky from IMHO.

Not if you want a poll.

How about allowing polls in every forum except GQ and GD?

I would mention that I don't even look in IMHO regularly. So a poll there with an election topic isn't likely to be seen by me. I think you'd be more likely to get a stronger response of those specifically interested in the topic if the thread were allowed in Elections.

This makes sense to me. I'll turn on polling in Elections when I get a chance.

Thanks Marley23. Would you mind moving this thread over there when you can? http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/...d.php?t=656449
