Thank you, Ma'am! I guess this is obvious but why isn't Burkhart's name Grimm after the Brothers? And just so I'm up to date, does the last episode where he meets his Mom catch me up, or are there more? I might mention too, that I like the series so much, I watched all the episodes over two days. 16 yesterday and 6 today. Holy Cow! 5 pages?!!!!

BTW, Burkhart looks a lot like Tom Cruise to me. Hope he isn't a morphodike like Cruise is.

I just figured Nick isn't a male-line descendant. Though so far I think all the people who've written in the books (that they've identified by name) did have the last name of Grimm.

Nick did mention it's his Mom/Aunt's side of the family that are Grimms. ...But Aunt Marie is listed in the imdb as Marie Kessler. Perhaps she changed her name on marriage also?

That was the season finale, so it sounds like you're all caught up!

So, season two starts in just a couple of weeks? August 13th. I'm intregued by a very early start date given there's not much of interest to me in summer shows this year.

Oh, let's start a new thread for season two then, huh?

Why in the world is it starting in mid August?

Did it get stealth canceled and they just want to burn off what they'd already got in the can before the fall shows start or something?

Or maybe they're hoping that all those people who were watching the Olympics will be intrigued by the ads and tune in, while there isn't much competition by other new shows.

Maybe network TV is starting to grasp the idea of staggered starts on new seasons, to get higher visibility in "rerun" season?

What plays against them on the other networks in the fall? Seems to me they're starting early to beat out the competition.

IIRC correctly, there was some question about if they were going to get renewed. I say props to the network for trying something different to boost ratings.

I gotta say, he really makes the show for me. I've never seen him play anything but psychopaths and murderers before this, and he's just so charismatic as Monroe. I find Nick very generic by comparison.

I'd totally watch a spinoff about Monroe and his chemist girlfriend, more about how the Wesen society works just out of sight of the "normals" (a la wizards and muggles), and less Biff the Wesen Slayer.

Apparently Bree Turner is pregnant, but Rosalee will not be having Monroe's weird bi-wessen baby. Watch this season to how they cover it up.

I think it's a pretty good idea, actually. What is it going to be up against? Get people sucked in now and they won't abandon it for something else in September.

I don't know what shows it'll playing against in the fall, but when it starts on the 13th it'll be on the same time as Alphas and Perception - two shows my wife and I also record to watch later. Argh.

Oops. Just remembered...On the 13th, I believe Perception is preempted. The following week all three shows are on the same time.

People getting in their last little bit of summer recreation in? Just because there's not a lot of other scripted first run TV going on doesn't mean there's nothing else people are doing.

If not wanting it up against any other shows was the goal, they could just run it on Saturdays. There hasn't been anything on TV on Saturdays since the days of Amen, Golden Girls, etc.
