Can I interest you in one lightly used Kyle Rudolph?

"We're treating every game like the playoffs. Our back is against the wall, and unless wins start coming, we may be sitting at home in December. We're looking to play within ourselves, take it to the next level, and step it up on the biggest stages. When this started, no one gave us a chance, but we're out here working hard every day, and that's all that I ask from our team."

"I'm really proud of our guys and how they battled. We beat a very good team this week, and our guys left everything out there on the field. Everyone knows, Marlon’s been having this incredible year, so losing him is going to be an issue. But this is a next man up league and nobody is going to be crying for our team. We're hoping to manufacture more touches for Devin, we like what we've seen of him."

"We had a really good week of practice. I know you press guys are all about the negatives and trying to tear this team apart, but we're really excited to get a look at some of our younger players. Kyle has been out there, working hard, as has Devin, Tyler, Jamaal, and the others. We have a lot of faith in their abilities and it's great for us as a team to give them a chance to shine this weekend."

"This team showed alotta heart this weekend. While you guys in the media were trying to say they didn't have a chance, we had faith in our new starters, and boy did they prove you guys wrong. Kyle had a great game, Devin came through in the clutch and Tyler and Jamaal both played very well. They played a full 60 minutes, took care of the football, did all the little things, and fought until the whistle was blown. They've really added to our team chemistry."

"Now I know you guys want a QB controversy to sell papers or "get clicks" or whatever you do, but Patrick is our QB. We've got a huge game coming up against The Great Old Ones, who we're tied with for the top of our division. It's a make or break game, our backs will be against the wall, and, at the end of the day, there is no love lost between our teams. So don't be asking any guys on our team for bulletin board materials."

Two weeks left and I think the only teams mathematically eliminated are Martz and Overly? I sure hope the tiebreakers are clear or there's going to be a 10-page revolution...

I propose that we just award me the championship now to avoid any unpleasantness in the future.

While the 5-7 teams aren't mathematically eliminated, there's almost no way any of them can sneak into the playoffs. And even at 6-6, Ellis Dee is hanging on by a thread because there are so many 7-5 teams that could block his way to the wild card.

Quick IRL Fantasy Football question for you.

My team is cooking and I'm looking at a title run. The league is highly biased towards RBs and you can start 3 each week, but can only roster a max of 4 guys. Weird I know.

So I have Chris Carson, Devin Singletary, LeVeon Bell and Tevin Coleman right now. It's been a bit of a crap shoot all season for all of these guys and I'm thinking about adding Jonathan Williams for the playoff stretch.

So what are your opinions on this? Do I stick with the guys I have or do I gamble that this Williams thing will hold up? If I make the move, which guy do I drop? Feels like Coleman is the most volatile of the group, but I like his ceiling.

My thoughts: if you think you have a better than coin-flip chance at the playoffs, I'd consider the matchups for the weeks of your playoffs. I don't think any of those guys are absolute studs, and I'd likely have them relatively close in ranks on a weekly basis, so matchups might be the way to go. Which leads to the question: Do your playoffs go Week 15 and 16? Or do they include 14th and 17th weeks too?

It's 14-15-16 but I'm assured a Bye in week 14 already.

Damn. Well done.

Here's what my brief research shows (double check if you want to be thorough)

Chris Carson - Panthers (27th), Cards (23rd)
Devin Singletary - Steelers (11th), Patriots (9th)
Leveon Bell - Ravens (3rd), Steelers (11th)
Tevin Coleman - Falcons (18th), Rams (16th)
Jonathan Williams - Saints (4th), Panthers (27th)

Just looking at it, it looks like Bell has the toughest lineups those weeks, followed by Singletary. Carson seems to have the best. Williams might start week 16, but 15th looks rough.

Tough call. I'm not a fan of Williams, but it's hard to argue with two straight 100 yard games (although Jax run defense sucks, and his 4.0 ypc isn't great against the Texans). Carson has been fumbling and Penny finally had an impressive game in his stead last week, so there are concerns. Bell's the Jets workhorse, which is great, but his actual production sucks and he's not had a breakout game all year. Coleman hasn't shone in his opportunities either (3.9 ypc). I love me some Devin Singletary and I think he's the most talented, but those matchups aren't ideal.

So, basically, fuck if I know. I think dropping Carson would be a mistake unless the Seahawks commit to Penny (but then I assume Penny would be available to you if that happened). But they all seem to be in the same general ranking area, so I think it's just a matter of taste and your hunch. Play/pickup the guys you like and want to root for is about the best advice I can give.

I beat RNATB, which usually has a lot of significance in the division race, but not this year. I might've had a shot if I had won out starting 2 weeks ago, but not gonna happen. Being in the middle sucks - you don't get playoffs but you also don't get to look forward to great draft picks.

A few bright spots this year. Josh Allen is actually the #5 QB and seems to be getting better by the week. And he's doing it behind a poor Buffalo offense. But they've got plenty of cap money and draft picks to build an offense around him, so I think he might end up being one of the top young QBs to own.

DJ Chark seems like he's going to be pretty good. Tyler Locket proves he can be the #1. Even Allen Robinson, while not great, is back in the top 20.

Nick Chubb is going to be a reliable star, but I don't have anything else at RB. I'm not sure if Montgomery is any good, because it seems like the situation in Chicago murders running backs.

Jordan Howard is still young and will get a new team next year - maybe he'll have a chance to revive his career.

Will Dissly was looking good before he went down to injury. Engram is hurt constantly and hard to evaluate. Hopefully one of them works out.

Barring anything wild during Monday night, I think our playoffs are set.

With the win, JB's Gusterrhoids clinches the Northeast Corridor (hey, that's me!)

With the win, Moridwon (Hamlet) clinches the Midwest

With the loss by Isotopes, Nine Inch Neils clinches the Sunbelt

That just leaves the Wild Card, which will be a 3-way fight between HungryHungryHaruspex, The Great Old Ones, and Isotopes, all of whom will be 7-6 after tonight.

Interestingly, all three of the 7-6 teams play 6-7 teams, so all three could lose and one of the 6-7 teams (probably No Use For A Name) would slip into the wildcard spot. Equally interesting, each of the 6-7 teams except Beef has outscored the 7-6 teams, except for Petey/Isotopes. Hamlet has a relatively easy game so I'll probably need to win to keep the #1 seed.

"There are no easy games in this league. Omni's Ides of Martz teams is a solid team that has had a bit of bad luck. We have the upmost respect for their team. And we cannot look past this game."

An interesting "Rivalry Week" coming up. Let's get it on.

A pretty good year so far for me. Some injuries and bad luck, but I really like my roster, and I think I have the deepest team in the league. First in the league in total points, a pretty solid draft with just two picks, and a playoff berth despite some injuries. What I'm lacking is a game winning stud, like CMC or Lamar Jackson. Mahomes was that last year, but a couple sub-par games against what should have been creampuffs has me concerned. Michael Thomas is great though, and I like my depth. My biggest concern is that last year repeats itself and I end up with two starters getting injured in the first half of a game. Or a mind boggling awesome week from my opponent that costs me. Championships are hard.

How is this god awful team actually winning games?! I mean enough games to keep me out of last.
After the brutal, bloody attrition that was my first two months I thought I could at least dignify finishing properly DFL .
