A board game based on Die Hard :D

Ho ho ho, now i have a board game.

"Die Hard: The Nakatomi Heist Board Game uses one-versus-many, asymmetric gameplay to pit protagonist John McClane against others acting as thieves who are co-operating to foil the hero's plan, which is to save the hostages in the iconic Nakatomi Plaza high-rise. Movie buffs and hobby game enthusiasts will appreciate the game's distinct homage to the 1988 film, which packs rules and gameplay to the air vents with callbacks to Die Hardís most memorable scenes, characters, and events."

Sounds pretty damn cool if you ask me Let's just hope it's a proper game, not some BS riding on the title alone.

Read it at boardgame-news.com

Information is probably avaible at the publishers website aswell; https://theop.games/

I love the concept but I’m worried about too much focus being given to the McClane player and all the other players feeling like second fiddles.

Is Hans Gruber playable or an NPC? If playable would he have special abilities?

The one-against-many element sounds similar to the Scotland Yard board game https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_Yard_(board_game)

It's a lot of fun to play.

Hey, I remember that game ! It was indeed good fun. And just as great a way to lose friends as Diplomacy, only here it's because they're being stupid fucking idiots who won't move the obviously optimal and logical way, FFS Karen, I've explained it to you a million fucking times now.

And as an added plus, you can use the same board to play Mornington Crescent ! (only in non-competitive play and if you disregard the 2014 Rutherford ruling, naturally - but I didn't need to mention that, did I ?).

There's also a Dracula themed game where all the other players hunt the one playing Dracula.

Letters from Whitechapel is the same thing, but with Jack the Ripper.
