Bubbles in brain - permanent?

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/020806/140/d6s79.html - is the link, though it may be just a temporary one.

It’s this last part that I’m curious about. Is having air bubbles in your brain quite a common side effect of head injury?

And are the bubbles permanent, can you never fly again?

If not, how can you tell when they’re gone?

And what exactly would happen if they were there and you flew, an aneurism?

IANADr but I always thought that air bubbles in the brain were permenant…because you would have a stroke and die.

If you flew, the lower air pressure would cause the bubbles to expand, possibly blocking blood flow…see above. (I still can’t figure out why the internal air pressure changes in a pressurized airplane).

I would think that air bubbles would be eventually absorbed by the blood stream.

I am guesing an MRI would tell you if they were gone.
Maybe someone with actual medical knowledge knows better.
