Welcome to the HELL that is Peak season at L. L. Bean

So, it's Peak season at L. L. Bean.

Which means that the orders are pouring in.

Literally.

Today for instance, we were projected to get around 183,000 orders.

We got 205,000.

Which is a good thing, trust me, 'cause Bean needs to at least try and pull out of it's sales slump.

However, many of those orders need to be processed by the multi-pack department, of which I am a member.

Now, back during the summer we were worried if we had anything over "40 waves in the pool," which essentially means orders that are backlogged.

As of 1:30 PM this afternoon, we had over 300 waves in the pool.

Am I coming in at 5:00 AM tomorrow?

Oh my yes.

Am I coming in at 5:00 the rest of the week including Saturday and Sunday?

Oh my yes.

Am I an idiot?

Possibly.

Charity still hasn't come in to work, she is apparently still sick.
