this was suprisingly difficult to find on the web. what is the age for wild ones and captives? i have heard 100-150 yrs, but also have heard 80, for captives.

I just watched a documentary on Animal Planet last night about Nile crocs. It mentioned that the life span of an adult male was usually 80 years, although some may live to be 100. Of course, the vast majority of Nile crocs do not make it to adulthood, becoming meals for other animals, including cannibalistic Nile crocs. :eek:
