When your lug’s been blocked up for a few days, the nurse puts the syringe in, you get that tickly squelchy feeling, and suddenly! You can hear clearly again, your head feels like a weight’s been taken off, you look and see the evil plug of wax that’s been blighting your life, forever vanquished.
Wow. I mean I get to experience this for nothing?

For those of us cursed* with excessive ear wax, after a while you start to feel like your head is in a bucket. You keep asking people to repeat themselves, turn the TV up too loud, etc. After sryinging, it really does feel like the world is lush and new and wonderful.
*In truth, there are worse curses you could have. It’s a bit gross, but big deal…
