Vote for the best word (for it's meaning)

What is the best word, in your opinion, Not for how it sounds or what letters it uses or anything else other than purely for what it means

My vote goes to 'enlightened'

My favorite such word is callipygous.

It is used to describe a woman who possesses a very nicely shaped derriere.

Pus is the best word for what it means.
No other word would be as descriptive of that product.
Some words are like art, they stimulate senses other than what you use to read the word.
Pus; you can practically smell it. The slipperyness is revealed through simple vowels and consonents. Without even mentioning color there is a certain vividness of infection.
Maybe infection is the best word for what it means...

My husband and I are fond of the word faucine, another onomatopoeic word, very sleek, yet round feeling in the mouth as the word suggests itself.

But a word which is favourite just for what it means?
I suppose that would be "happiness" or "copraphagia."

I have always thought the most evocative word in English is tintinnabulation, the ringing of bells.

What a wonderful coupling of words

I'm envisioning an inspirational poster or greeting card that pictures cute little puppies with the message:
Happiness is Copraphagia

"cornucopia" and "plethora" especially if used in the same sentence as my name, and the word money.

Yeah, like that'd ever happen! Hehheh.

Dang! Someone beat me to my choice, "defenestration."

So I guess I'll go with Schadenfreude, even though I may be spelling it wrong.

"Unprecedented"

It's actually quite a fun word to just throw in a conversation.

Friend:"Man, this food is pretty good."
Me: "Yes, the flavor is UNPRECEDENTED."
Friend: (weird look) "Ooooookaaaaaay. So, anyway..."

Best word that depends on the word as well as its meaning (even though the original poster specifically didn't ask for it):
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

Favourite word otherwise:
Clandestine

Somebody or other once noted the greatest mismatch between a remarkably euphonious phrase and its meaning is "proctological examination".

eunoia:
- Greek, good will, benevolence
- a rarely used term denoting a normal state of mind (Stedman's Medical Dictionary, no longer in newer editions, my old NTN handle and subsequent ones from this definition)
- beautiful thinking
- fictional alien language

I hate to break it to you, WILLASS, but floccinacinihilipilification does not mean, and indeed cannot mean that. So far as I know, every word in English that ends in -ation is from Latin, denoting the act of some verb. Floccinaucinihilipilification means the act of...(going to get the OED)...hmm, it's not in there. The OED has every word in the English language, so if something's not in there, it isn't a word; however, my copy is from 1973, so...

I nominate mellifluous, which means smooth and sweet, usually in application to a voice.

A fourth vote for "defenestration," especially as used by Bill Watterson:

The monster, in its consternation,
Demonstrates defenestration,
And runs and runs and runs away.

Good poetry gives me goosebumps.
