Mozilla and the 'New Thread' button

Anybody else using Mozilla having trouble with the 'New Thread' button?

I see the button initially if I refresh the page (either at the Index page or withing an article) but then the button is quickly 'deleted'.

The only way I can post a new thread is to hit refresh on my browser and then quickly hit the 'New Thread' button before it's taken away.

I've tried turning off bannerblind and AdBlocker (Mozilla plugins that block ads) as well as allowing popups for SDMB. None of these attempts has solved the problem.

Oh, I meant to add that this behavior is not constant. For instance, now I'm seeing the 'New Thread' button just fine.

If I were the paranoid type I'd think someone was out to get me!

I use Mozilla in windows and, up until a recent switch to Firebird, in Linux as well. I have never noticed the problem you are reporting, but then, I don't tend to start threads, so I suppose it's possible that I simply never noticed.

Just a data point.

I'm constantly being told i'm not logged in, even when i've logged in 2 minutes ago - it all seems to be random.

I have problems with Mozilla Firebird and the reply box in preview reply. No biggie, it's just that the reply box is about 2 or 3 inches wide when I go to preview. There doesn't seem to be any problem with the quick reply box though.

I'm using Mozilla (Seamonkey) 1.5 and Mozilla (Firebird) 0.7 on Linux (as well as assorted other browsers, but no need to go into that here) - never had this problem with either of them.
