I asked something I shouldn't have and got burned

I had a topic in the comments on Cecil's columns -before you fill out the survey READ THIS-
I was a little annoyed that Cecil was asking us for personal information and not going to give us (the teeming millions) any of his. Since the survey contained Cecil's own words, I though it appropriate to post it that section, admittedly it was a borderline topic, but combined with what Cecil was asking, I though it appropriate to be there.
Well, the weekend went by and got a few responses, then the topic started to wander. Jill (Moderator) stated that she will fwd this thread to Cecil. I was hoping to get a response from the great one. But I must have made too many people nervous and they closed my topic and sent it to the BBQ pit yesterday.
I feel like one of those people that knows too much and the mob wants to rub out.

I wouldn't be too worried. It seems that the accepted (or moderator-preferred) forum for complaints about the board is either "About This Message Board" or the "BBQ Pit."

Since your complaint was not specially related to the board software, and was not really a question, I'm not surprised it ended up in the "BBQ Pit".

Especially when much of the thread was taken up by Tom Dark's "proof" that Cecil Adams doesn't exist, and rants about something Jill did in some unspecified AIDS thread.

k2dave, I don't think the move to the BBQ Pit had anything to do with you - I think that Jill actually posted to the thread at least once without moving. Her stated reason for moving the thread was Tom Dark's repeated attacks on her (totally unrelated to your OP, BTW) for supposedly closing some thread or threads on AIDS. For some reason he has not seen fit to post a link to those threads so we (including Jill) can figure out what he is talking about. He seems more intent on simply harassing Jill without offering any substantiation for his accusations.

Hence, the BBQ Pit. Not because of you or the OP; because of Tom Dark.

When I first got on this board in November, I made the statement that Cecil was [deleted][deleted] and that [deleted] was [deleted]. Now this caused [deleted] to [deleted] [deleted][deleted]and then [deleted] came and I was [deleted] by the Tubassassin. [deleted] I [deleted] until [deleted] [deleted]. Now let me tell you [deleted] ain't easy to break out of. When I got back, I found a [deleted] Tubassassin laying [deleted] on my couch. So I [deleted] it with a [deleted]. Yes folks Tubassassin cyborgs can be [deleted] using a simple [deleted]. Sheesh, and you think you had trouble with the [deleted]!

I used to think how unrealistic it was that Lois and Jimmy couldn't recognize Clark was Superman simply because he wore glasses and combed back his forehead curl; but now I see how it is possible.
