"Larry Parker got me 2.1 million"

West Coast Lawyer,Larry H.Parker, has an African-American commercial endorser
whose quote,“Larry Parker Got me 2.1 million” is popular on Daytime T.V.
A friend of mine says this gentleman is in a wheelchair that the camera doesn’t
show.
Question: is the pitchman confined to a wheelchair?

I saw one commercial with that guy perched on a motorcycle, and his legs looked healthy enough.

Considering today’s trend for massive, frivolous judgments, $2.1 million doesn’t even sound like that much anymore. And why hasn’t Larry won a million-dollar claim for anyone else??

That pitchman has been around for years and years and years. I remember the earlier commercials did show him in a wheelchair. I’d read somewhere (before the Internet) that the pitchman had been injured in a motorcycle crash.

$2.1 million doesn’t sound like much nowadays, but 15 or 20 years ago it was impressive.

Then a regulation was enacted that said lawyers couldn’t name dollar amounts in advertising, so it became, “Larry H. Parker got me… you know the story.” (wink)

Wow, I was always wondering what it meant when Ice Cube said

“Sittin at the pad just chillin’
cause Larry Parker just got me 2 million
Oh what a feelin”

in the song “Wicked.” That song probably came out in 1992, so its only taken my 12 years to figure out who Larry Parker was.

Since this is GQ, how about some facts supporting this claim?
