Early this morning (Sydney time), I subscribed myself, and became a "Charter Member". There are two other dopers I've subscribed (no, not broadcasting how nice I am - I'm being reimbursed), but their status is still "member". Obviously the email would have gone to them not me (and they are both AFK at the moment so I can't confirm).
Now, when I subscribed this morning, I noticed that in a very old thread in which I had posted, I was just a "Member", but became a "Charter Member" when I posted in this thread, on page one. Other people in that old thread had "charter Member". I was under the impression pretty much everything (post counts, sigs and the like) in vBulletin is retroactive. Is it the case that this is different, and the title will be retroactive, but members need to post after subscription to activate that retroactivity? I'm concerned that I've paid for two other people, but have no real evidence that it's been successful - apart from the screen that came up when it was processed.
