How to clean a dartboard?

I guess the title's fairly self-explanatory: I've acquired a dartboard, which has been left outside for some time, and is covered with mildew and mould. Is there anything I should know about cleaning it, or can I just scrape & scrub away?

If it is a cheap dartboard that is made from coiled paper, I'd just toss it. If it is a good quality bristle board, try bringing it indoors, letting it dry out thoroughly, and then scrub it lightly with a stiff bristled brush.
