Warfarin

AKA coumaden(sp)
Used as a post operative anti coagulent to prevent blood clots. Taking the recommended doseage and numbers are high. Whats that mean?
We are adjusting the dosage.

Not trying to be flip, but honestly- you’re asking a message board group about blood clot prevention? Does your doctor not have a telephone? I would call him or her and ask questions about your drug treatments.

Warfarin information from the US National Library of Medicine.

If your question is referring to your specific use, you should be consulting your doctor.

BTW, Warfarin is named after the patent owner - Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.

You’re not going to get proper medical advice from strangers on a message board. Contact your doctor. If you are not confortable with his advice, see another doctor who is familiar with the case.
