Model Earnhardt, never opened, worth anything?

If this is in wrong place, mods, please move it. I wasn’t sure where this thread
should go…
I have a Dale Earnhardt model car–it’s the size if a HotWheels car. It’s in the
original packaging, NEVER been opened. The car has a #2 on it. The package says
it’s # 7 of 13. On the back of package it says it’s a 1980 Wrangler Monte Carlo,
owned by Ron Osterlund, Earnhardt drove this car on the short tracks during his
first NASCAR Cup championship season. On the front of package it says “NASCAR
Collect All 13”. It also says “Dale Earnhardt Lifetime Series”. It’s made by
Hasbro. Also on the back of package it says “TM 2000 HASBRO,Inc. Pawtucket,
Rhode Island. Made in USA”. On the front it says “Hasbro TM, Asst. No. 55500”.
Oh, also it says “Winner’s Circle” on the front.
In the package, it has the car & what looks like some type of card…like a base-
ball card.
I bought this car several years ago as a gift for my nephew but for some reason
it was misplaced. We recently found it (still wrapped in the Christmas packaging!)
Is it worth anything, aside from sentimental value? If so, I’ll (obviously) save it…
if not, I’ll give it to my grandson.
I know nothing about NASCAR…I only know about Dale Earnhardt because the
news of his death was heavily covered by the media.
If anyone can assist me with information I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks!
Paula

The car is part of Hasbro’s career retrospective die-cast set. It’s probably not worth more than what you paid for it.

A quick eBay search shows it’s selling for about $3.
