Only $42 million? That's an even better bargain than the Louisiana Purchase!

Yeah, beware: I got a survey done. There's a huge crack all along Arizona, and there's water literally gushing into New York State from the next-door neighbors' property.
That shit's going to cost a fortune to fix. |

There may be some ambiguity about just what the successful bidder would be getting, because although the lot is described as "The United States of America," the illustrative map depicts only the continental U.S.A., without any reference to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories like Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
It's important to clear up such questions, if you want to be sure of getting your money's worth... |

Also, the seller didn't clarify if gift-wrapping was available.
I'd like to purchase this item as a gift for our wonderful old friend, the U.K. (perhaps with a note card stating, "I believe you lost this item some time ago; would you like it back?") but I don't think the U.S.A. would pass the stringent British quarantine. All those rabid wild animals, y'know... |

Hey, Canada'll buy it.
Oh, the irony...

Apparently the USA is kept in Fresno, CA. That's not too far away... I'll have to go to Fresno next weekend and check it out.

[/quote] And that map shows the U.S. after come cataclysmic earthquake or mind-reeling continental drift. Plus, if the capital's Fresno, I'd rather not have it. The Q&A on the page is pretty funny too. |

If Hawaii is not included than there's no point in buying it. It's like buying a wrecked car when all you want is a good second-hand radio.
