Help me remember (or find!) an old Catholic school song

Okay, I admit it. Eight years of Catholic schooling. I enjoyed it at first, not knowing any better.

I think it was in first grade, which would have been about 1970, that we learned a “10 Commandments” song. The teacher played it on a record and we all learned the words to sing along. Being for five and six-year-olds, the “commandments” were what to do rather than “thou shalt nots.” Here are the first five as I recall them:

First, I must honor God,
Second, honor His name.
Third, on His day keep holy, this will be my aim.
Fourth, I must be obedient,
Fifth, be kind and true…

(need help here with the rest)

final line ends something like this:

…These are God’s 10 commandments, these I must obey.

Don’t give me credit. I found this on the christiancrafters.com website following a web search:
First, I must honor God
Second, honor his name
Third, honor his day, keep holy,
this must be my aim.
Fourth, I must be obedient
Fifth, be kind and true
Sixth be pure in all I say and
think and hear and do.
Seventh, I must be honest
Eighth, be truthful in all things I say
Ninth, be pure in mind and heart
and in all I think and desire each day
Tenth, I must satisfied
not be jealous come what may.
These are God’s 10 commandments.
These I must obey
Enjoy!

PunditLisa, you’re GREAT! Thanks. This has been haunting me for, oh, I don’t know, 30+ years? Thanks for the web site, too!
