So, you think all Christmas music is insipid?

A couple of weeks ago there was a “Bah Humbug” Pit thread, in which a general anti-Christmas sentiment was echoed. One sub-theme of this thread was how awful holiday music could be.

I disagree. Even stupid songs can be fun if interpreted by a head-banging psychopath with a lot of voltage. I am just such a psychopath.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you a selection of my three favorite songs from my one and only (so far) CD release:

santarocks

A few notes:

-All instruments – that is, guitar and synthesizer – were played by me.

-My girlfriend loves the 3rd selection so much that it is now a part of her traditional Christmas Eve Czech celebration. It accompanies the lighting of the Advent candles.

-Forgive my hasty HTML coding. I didn’t want to delay this by spending time searching for a clipart picture of a sappy elf. I wanted to get the link to you so that you have plenty of time to enjoy – or make fun of – these songs.

-Just for fun, every song on this CD has an Easter egg in it. Buried deep within each song, woven almost inaudibly into its fabric, is a tune from The Wizard of Oz. See if you can pick them out!

Enjoy.

Have you heard Terry Bradshaw singing Christmas carols? They keep getting played on Imus.

I hope I’m better than Terry Bradshaw!

124 views and no replies other than asterion’s. Hmm. If y’all think my music sucks, that’s OK. But I just want to be sure that my links are working. If people aren’t listening because they can’t access the files, I need to know. Can someone give me an acknowledement, please?

The links worked just fine for me. I’ll get back to you on the songs.

Cool, thanks.
