Thank you for that catharsis. Obviously you're in an emotionally troubled state. It's not uncommon for people to strike out at others when feelings of inadequacy overwhelm one's being. For quite a while I had an my suspicions, but now I know this is what's wrong. Your post about how sorry we would all be if Iceland had the U.S. instead of the rest of Europe told it all. You overlook the fact that it was Europeans who came to this continent and wiped out the natives with diseases and guns. One of the ways the US goverment allieviated the population problem in the Eastern cities, and settle the West, was to give free land to immigrants, European immigrants, who had a vested interest in seeing the natives wiped out. The US Army during the Indian Wars was comprised of at least one third immigrants straight off the boat. They sure didn't mind participating in genocide along with their cousins who had been here a generation or two.

The Europeans are the most blood thirsty, vicious, vengeful, and successful group of killers to inhabit this planet. Just in this century alone, they have been responsible for more than 80 million deaths due to mindless adherence to demagogues and their bullshit. And you say Americans are stupid? We had to go to Europe twice to save your silly asses from each other. You people are so high on yourselves.

At least two attempts at settlement were made. The second one (most likely the one found at L'anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland) lasted several years until they were driven out by the constant harassment of the native peoples. Your ancestors did the same thing that every other European invader of North America did--your folks were simply not numerous enough to make it last.

I realize that you are having fun poking snide remarks at Yanks and watching them react. It would help your "cause" however, if you did not make up stories about the innate dignity of your murderous ancestors.
