For those of you who thought that the latest “peace Agreement” was going to accomplish anything, forget it! There ain’t EVER gonna be an end to this thing, and people might as well accept it.Arafat or anybosy…the same thing is going to keep happenening. How much ink and paper has been wasted on these “Peace Agreements”.
I can just see the news headlines for Feb. 12, 2055:
“ISRAELI/PALESTNIAN NEGOTIATORS VOW ADHERENCE TO NEW PEACE PLAN”
Why don’t they accept reality and negotiate how the conflict is to be continued?
Israel has given any single individual on the Palestian side the ability to derail the peace process. At least, that was Sharon’s effective policy with Arafat was still alive. One suicide bomber, one mortar attack, and the peace process done.
It’s a tough thing for Israel to “tolerate” some level of violence. IMHO Israel has to if serious about working towards peace. I know this is a very callous thing to say when not in the crosshairs myself.
