9 Chickweed Lane: Help

Does anyone else read this strip? I really enjoy this and Pibgorn by the same person.

The big question is, because I missed a couple of months of strips, what happened between Edda and Amos?

Anyone?

Edda had a ballet performance and was peeved that it seemed that Amos would miss it. He shows, dressed to the nines, and accompanies her on piano. Edda gives a stunning performance. There's a scout from the New York Ballet Company (or whatever it's called) who offers her a spot with the troupe.

We see Edda and Amos sharing a long (it took the whole week's strips) kiss.

Next thing we know, Edda has graduated early and is on a bus to New York. Later, Amos graduates early and heads to New York to attend Julliard.

At first, neither knows the other is in the city, but they bump into each other.

What exactly happened between the two from the time of the kiss and Edda's departure has not been revealed.

Edda is rooming with a male dancer from the troupe.

Edda is rooming with a gay dancer from the troupe who thinks Amos is quite cute.

What happened that night? It is pretty heavily implied that Edda and Amos slept together.

That was my impression, too, that Edda and Amos did the horizontal bop. Also, Edda's mother resigned her uni position and bought her mother's beau's farm (forgive me, I forget his name a the moment), and is running it now. Edda ran into Amos a few days ago, so that whole aspect is not gone yet.

Since Juliet sold 9 Chickweed Lane when she bought Thorax's farm... um... why is the strip still 9 Chickweed Lane?

Thank you all. That answers the question of all the tension -- BTW don't you love how Seth and Mom are getting along?

I have the impression that the title may undergo a change sometime in the future.

BTW, did anybody else notice Thorax and his pap doing a guest appearance in Piibgorn last month (or maybe it was late December)?

Now, if only the Courier-Journal would carry the strip, all would be right in the world.

You are so not alone. I read it as "Pigborn" for months before realizing that wasn't quite right.

....and with this thread, Chickweed has officially passed For Better or For Worse and The Family Circus as the most-frequently OPed contemporary comic strip of the Straight Dope Message Board!

Further testament to the high-toned cultural standards of the Teeming Millions.

Yes, I'd like an official accounting since I'm a big For Better or Worse fan and Get Fuzzy, too.
