Randomly Generated Paper Accepted

…to what looks like a randomly generated conference.

This line to MIT tells of an automatic paper generator, SCIgen, which generated a paper accepted to WMSCI 2005. Another paper was rejected.

When I heard of this I was originally impressed, until I looked at the statistics of the conference here . 2904 papers for 912 attendees.

They asked why their other paper was rejected, and got a response saying that the conference organizer didn’t believe in telling.

Judging from the statement of purpose of the conference, and the supporting societies, I have a suspicion the automatically generated paper might be a candidate for a best paper award.
