Why does beer just 'not go down good' sometimes
Some nights the beer just goes down so well, that I've had 6 or 7 before I even know it.
Other nights, it's all I can do to choke my way through one.
Now I know that some beer tastes better than others, and sometimes you'll get a nasty skunky batch. But, all things being equal, why does beer just plain taste nasty sometimes, and others it is the sweet nectar of the goddesses' bosoms?
Is it a mental thing? I find that hard to swallow (pun intended) because tonight, I was mentally prepared to toss quite a few back after a hard week, and word of a new job assignment, but the beer-drinking just wasn't happening. So the mind was willing, but the taste buds/stomach were/was weak.
So what's the deal?
