E-bay "Haunted Painting"
I've heard about this, a painting sold on e-bay repoted to be haunted. Anyone shed any light on it; specifiacally the artist, when it was painted, or who is depicted in the painting?

Hmmm, it seems to have spooked my spelling already!

There was a craze on items like this a year or so ago, starting with a 'ghost in a jar', quickly followed by a large number of copycats.

If you put "ebay haunted painting" into google, a wealth of info is available, though beyond the painting's name - "Hands Resist Him" - and the painter's name - Bill Stoneham - the validity of the info may be tinged by the demon-haunted world.

My ditsy sister-in-law just forwarded a chain email to us with an attachment that had a "miracle painting" depicted, i.e., the water in the stream appears to be moving. "Send this to a friend and you will receive a miracle." My arse.

Stoneham's website: http://www.stonehamstudios.com/ Includes the painting in question.
Some freaky work, that guy does. The seller on Ebay claims they found it next to a dumpster in an alley behind a bar. I wish I could find something that cool. Need to hang around in more alleys, I'm guessing. |

Want to see a haunted painting? Stare at this webpage for a minute. Oh, and turn up the volume on your computer speakers...
Nah, I'll resist the temptation. |
