Stupid children's movies you are ashamed to like

What children’s movies are far below your level of maturity and intelligence, and of which you shouldn’t lower yourself to enjoying, and yet when they come on TV you can’t help but watching? What are you guilty pleasures of kid’s flicks?

Mine are (incomplete listing):

Snow Day
Max Keeble’s Big Move
Can’t Buy Me Love

Anything with golden retrievers. Yeah, even the ones where you have them playing soccers, basketballs and all sort of nonsenses.

The Goonies.

I even have a T-shirt. :o

Pee Wee’s Big Adventure

The Princess Diaries

The Goonies. Definitely. Besides, Mama Fratelli is a stone fox

Matilda

I’ll third The Goonies, although I never thought it was stupid and I’m not at all ashamed to say I liked it (and still do).

I am also going to have to go with the Goonies. I also love the Princess Diaries.

Goonies, although I never consider that one a “kid’s movie”-it’s really for everyone.

My picks:
The Little Rascals

My Girl

The Parent Trap (the original with Hayley Mills, not the remake with Lo-Ho)

Follow that Bird

Big Bird Goes to China

The Emperor’s New Groove is easily one of the stupidest Disney theatrical release, but I still end up watching it everytime I surf across it. My extremely flimsy excuse is that Kronk (Patrick Warburton) has a few extreme Brock Sampson moments. And David Spade & John Goodman are a surprisingly entertaining comedic duo.

I’ll second, third, and fourth The Goonies. Utterly silly, but good grief, that movie rocks.

Other votes go to:
Explorers
The Bad News Bears (the original version)
The Black Stallion
Time Bandits (As a kid, I didn’t appreciate how this movie was just filled with great quotes. Now, as an adult, I do. Underrated flick, actually.)
The Neverending Story (although I prefer the book on which it is based)

Not that I see it coming on TV often… or at all… but…

The Land Before Time

Specifically, that’s the first one, not the plethora of straight to video sequels.
Saddens me to read the “Date of Death” details on IMDB, though, for the little girl who voiced Duckie.

“Yup yup yup!”

Also fond of The Neverending Story (again, the first, not the sequels).

Anything with

GODZILLA!

And Santo movies.

There were no sequels.

You hear me? NONE.

Just like the Star Trek movies did this mysterious jump from Star Trek IV to Star Trek VI. Weird.

Ah, correction noted.

I must have dreamed that they made another movie, Neverending Story: The Final Frontier

Duckie died? Nooooo, I love Duckie!

Anastasia
Disney’s Cinderella (that was always my favorite as a kid)
Lady and the Tramp
An American Tail
The Three Lives of Thomasina

She died at age 10 before the movie was even released. (In the sequels, somebody else voices Ducky). That was my favorite character in that movie.

According to IMDB: “Shot to death along with her mother at a tender age of 10 by her father, who then shot himself to death.” (It has a more detailed version of the story under her bio now).

People are ashamed to like The Goonies, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, The Parent Trap, Emperor’s New Groove, The Bad News Bears (the original version), The Black Stallion, Time Bandits, The Neverending Story, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp and
The Princess Diaries? I see no shame whatsoever in liking those movies.

Oops, didn’t stick quite literally to the thread title. Not ashamed to like the two I listed. Now if I claimed to like the non-existent sequels to Neverending Story, then I would be very ashamed indeed.
