I seek medical advice re: withdrawal.

As taboo as it is on the boards, I seek medical advice.

See, tomorrow is the last day I'm allowed in my apartment and most of that day will be spent cleaning and packing. Thus being, I'll more or less be 'unplugged' from the SDMB and I'm scared.

The first symptoms of withdrawal occurred today when I packed up my coffee maker--I friggin' need my caffiene _{it is the spice. It is the spice that puts my mind in motion.} But there is a cafe down the street, so I can at least walk 300 yards to the dealer and ask for a quick hit of cafe mocha. The latest symptons occurred this past hour when I think I hallucinated. The movers came today to pick up all my furniture 'n' stuff, and just a half an hour ago I thought I saw tumbleweed rolling through the kitchen and that famous whisle from Clint Eastwood westerns in my ear.

I'm worried about tomorrow. I have to pack up my computer tomorrow--the only source of "regular internet" I get. The base servers won't let me surf the SDMB, and I don't know of any internet cafes in town. I'm scared. What the hell am I gonna do without my Dope fix for nine months?

Ya know, what ya could do is solicit threads by mail. Someone could send you the best threads for your perusal. Obviously, you couldn't reply (at least not quickly), but you could still read them.

Have you ever seen the movie Trainspotting? What you could do is, see, take a laptop equipped with EV-DO. Shove that up your butt. It'll be your last fix for a while, and since EV-DO is expensive enough that you'll have to pay out the ass for it, you better be ready to dive into the sewers to retrieve it. Watch out for the babies on the ceiling, man, 'cause once their heads start turning there's no coming back.
I took a couple of days off the dope once. It was enough to make me say, "Boy, that was a dumb move."
